I saw Kate Walbert's name in the Author's Guild newsletter this month. She's the author of several books and was a 2004 National Book award finalist. You can see Kate and the other 2004 National Book award finalists in this interview with Charlie Rose. In 2004, she was also interviewed by Steve Inskeep on NPR. I recently read Kate's book Our Kind: A Novel in Stories and loved it.

Kate Walbert
